Radisson Morning Roundtable: The New Saeima - A Business Perspective

Thursday, December 6, 2018 - 08:30

Thursday, 6 December we invite you to Radisson Morning Roundtable: The New Saeima - A Business Perspective. Discussion will be led by Pauls Raudseps, one of Latvia's leading journalists and commentators. As with previous morning Roundtables, this will be an interactive meeting for like-minded businesses/individuals to share their knowledge and experience and discuss topical issues over breakfast at the start of the working day.

On 6 October 2018 the 13th Saeima - the Parliament of Latvia - elections were held, however the government has not been formed yet. With the changes strongly being felt in the air, this Radisson Morning Roundtable is your opportunity to express your concerns (and premonitions), ask questions and discuss what to expect during the next couple of months and in the next 4 years.

Pauls Raudseps is one of Latvia's leading journalists and commentators. He writes on a wide variety of topics, including economics, politics, international affairs, and history.  Born in the United States, Mr Raudseps received a degree in Russian and Soviet Studies from Harvard University. In 1990 he moved to Latvia to work for the Popular Front, the organisation that led the fight for Latvian independence. He was one of the founders of Diena, which for many years was Latvia's leading daily newspaper. Having worked for almost 19 years at the newspaper as managing editor and editorial page editor, he left Diena in October 2009, to found the independent weekly news magazine and website "Ir", where he is both a commentator and chairman of the advisory board. Ir is an award-winning independent news magazine noted for its investigative reporting and coverage of politics and culture.
