Annual General Meeting 2025
Friday, March 21, 2025 - 09:00
The 2025 Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia will take place on 21 March 2025, from 9:00 to 11:30 at the Residence of the UK Ambassador, J. Alunāna iela 5, Rīga.
This is the most important meeting of the year — a key moment to exercise your executive power by electing the new BritCham board, voting on amendments to the Articles of Association, and reviewing the budgets.
We will also present reports on all areas of BritCham’s work — strategy, budget, events, charity initiatives, BritCham Academy projects, and member engagement — providing you with a comprehensive overview of the Chamber’s activities.
To legalise the meeting’s decisions, we need a quorum — so your presence is vital! We look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible for this official yet (hopefully) pleasant gathering.

Call for Board Candidates
One of the key business matters at the AGM will be the election of Board Members. The Board of BritCham consists of ten individuals, of whom eight are elected and two are “ex-officio” members (a nominee of the British Ambassador and BritCham’s Executive Director).
This year, four of the eight elected positions will become available. Information about the current Board members is available on the BritCham website.
We encourage all interested BritCham members to put themselves forward for election. Those wishing to stand as candidates are requested to submit their applications and photos by 17:00 on 17 March 2024 to kristine.zvirbule@britcham.lv.
You can download the application form here.
Eligibility for Election
To be eligible for election, an individual must be either:
- A paid-up individual member of BritCham for 2025, or
- A representative of a paid-up company member for 2025.
The election will take place during the AGM, and successful candidates will serve a two-year term. After this period, they may stand for re-election unless they have already served three consecutive terms, in which case they must step down.
We look forward to your participation and engagement in shaping the future of BritCham.
