BritCham 30th Anniversary Annual General Meeting 2026

Tuesday, March 24, 2026 - 09:00

The Annual General Meeting (“AGM”) of the British Chamber of Commerce in Latvia will take place on Tuesday, 24 March 2026, from 09:00 to 11:30 at the Residence of the UK Ambassador, Alunāna iela 5, Rīga.

This year’s AGM marks a special milestone as we celebrate 30 years of BritCham, making this gathering both a formal governance meeting and an occasion to reflect on three decades of partnership, growth, and impact.

The AGM is BritCham’s most important governance meeting of the year and provides members with a key opportunity to exercise their rights and responsibilities in shaping the Chamber’s future. During the meeting, members will elect the new BritCham Board and review and approve budgets.

Members will also receive comprehensive updates on BritCham’s activities, including strategy, financial performance, events, charity initiatives, BritCham Academy projects, and member engagement.

A quorum is required for the meeting’s decisions to be valid; therefore, your attendance is essential. We sincerely hope you will be able to join us for this official and engaging gathering.

Call for Board Candidates

A principal item on this year’s AGM agenda is the election of Board Members.
The BritCham Board consists of ten members: eight elected representatives and two ex-officio members (a nominee of the British Ambassador and BritCham’s Executive Director).

In 2026, four of the eight elected Board positions will become available. Details of the current Board members are available on the BritCham website.

As an exciting programme of 30th anniversary projects lies ahead, joining the Board offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the planning, development, and delivery of initiatives that will shape BritCham’s activities and enhance its impact. We warmly encourage motivated and committed members who wish to play an active role in guiding the Chamber during this landmark year to put themselves forward as candidates.

To stand for election, please submit your completed application form and a photograph by 17:00 on 17 March 2026 to kristine.zvirbule@britcham.lv.

Download the application form here.

Eligibility for Election
To be eligible for election, an individual must be either:
• A paid-up individual member of BritCham for 2026, or
• A representative of a paid-up company member for 2026.

The election will take place during the AGM. Successful candidates will serve a two-year term and may stand for re-election thereafter, unless they have already completed three consecutive terms.

We look forward to your continued engagement and to working together in shaping the future of BritCham.

Yours sincerely,
BritCham Latvia
