Save the date and join us for the Joint Chamber Pre-election debate with Prime Minister candidates “Latvia at a Crossroads: Strategic Opportunities for Global Investors”. The event will be held on September 9, at 15:00, at Radisson Blu Daugava Hotel (Kuģu Street 24, Riga).
With the Saeima election approaching on October 3, 2026, Latvia is entering an important moment for defining its economic direction. Against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, security pressures, and demographic challenges, strengthening competitiveness and attracting investment have become central priorities. This debate brings together Prime Minister candidates from the leading political parties, to outline their visions for Latvia’s economic future and its position as a destination for global investors.
The key topic of the debate will explore the economic security of Latvia, considering the following key pillars:
- Strengthening national security and resilience in the current geopolitical environment;
- The development of human capital in the context of demographic change, education, talent attraction;
- Ensuring a level playing field and fair competition to support sustainable economic growth.
This event offers chamber members a unique opportunity to hear directly from the candidates and engage in a dialogue on the future of Latvia. To ensure a dynamic and focused discussion, we encourage members to pre-define their questions and send them in advance to kristine.zvirbule@britcham.lv
